Books and Literature for Codependency
Both books are a set that work togethers and called the ``Red BOOK Series.
Book One of the series is the book: ``Understanding Codependency, Take the Journey to Recovery.`` This WORKBOOK is part TWO, used a faith-based companion book in the red book series. As a companion to the book entitled ``Understanding Codependency, Take the Journey to Recovery``. The WORKBOOK is interactive and allows you to work on each chapter of the book, with a group or individually. This WORKBOOK help give family members the coping skills during such a difficult time in their life. The WORKBOOK can be used in a group session lead by a group facilitator or counselor. This will help ignite, group discussions while educating those in attendance. Another option in using the WORKBOOK is for personal development and individual self-study. This will enhance knowledge of the information gain in this series. The WORKBOOK will take you on a spiritual walk into understanding codependency and is written to be helpful to anyone that may be overwhelmed. A person just trying to understand how to balance relationships with love without becoming part of the drama. The WORKBOOK is divided into two sections. The first part is called REFLECTIONS.
The Reflections section of the WORKBOOK will allow the reader to reflect on each chapter of the book Understanding Codependency, Take the Journey to Recovery. Subjects include, defining codependency, enabling, stop controlling, forgiveness and much more. It is designed to reference back to the page numbers in the first book to enhance integration. This WORKBOOK is less than100 pages, easy to comprehend, very uplifting and motivational. The Reflections section of the WORKBOOK has bible scriptures for the readers to take an interactive approach by looking up verses to have a deeper study on each subject. Very interactive with tons of space to write out thoughts and feelings. Section Two of the WORKBOOK has the 12 STEPS with biblical scriptures for each step. In order to be successful in recovery, the reader must work the program. Working the program simply mean to actually apply the principles in the 12 Step program for codependency. This workbook is one of many family projects visualized by the authors of this book. Simmons and Schexnayder were taught to write it down, pray and watch GOD work. Guided by the WORD OF GOD and spiritual principals, these authors assembled information for the WORKBOOK with years of direct “hands-on” , first hand knowledge and experience. There is a unique blessing in writing things down. Writing has always been the window to the soul. HOW TO USE THIS WORKBOOK: Start with one chapter at a time, using “Understanding Codependency, Take the Journey to Recovery”. Write, use markers, colors or whatever works for you.
